Leading up to it, Ang survives a flip with 7♦ 7♥ over Sukmekerd’s A♠ 10♠, on a board of 7♠ K♥ 6♦ 6♣ 9♦.

Sukmekerd recovers with 9♠ 9♥ running a clean board to win the flip against Ang’s A♥ 10♠.

Then the door closes on Ang whose 10♦ 10♠ falls to the leader Huang’s K♠ J♠ on a board Q♠ 6♣ J♥ 8♦ 5♥.

Heads up opens with Sukmekerd ahead 20 bb to Huang’s 17 bb but not for long as a cooler comes down. On a flop 6♠ 4♦ 5♥ , Huang is all in holding 7♦ 7♠, Sukmekerd with 4♠ 4♥ set, the turn 8♥ gives Huang the straight and holds through the river A♣.

This sends Huang soaring to 34 bb while Sukmekerd drops to 3 bb.

A seemingly impossible feat, Sukmekerd’s climb back to health starts with J♣ 7♣ nearly out against Huang’s 3♠ 5♠ when the flop comes 2♥ K♥ 3♦, then saved by the river 2♦ 7♥.

She doubles up again with a lucky J♠ 6♦ against A♥ 5♣ with a jack arriving on the turn. For Huang, despite the drop in chips, she continues the aggression, keeping Sukmekerd behind.

This trend leads to Sukmekerd risking it all again, picking up two more double ups. One of them is a lucky 10♣ 9♥ over Huang’s Q♥ 10♠ on a board 8♠ 8♥ 9♣ 4♦ 10♦.

Back in the driver’s seat, Sukmekerd finally closes it out on a flip with K♠ J♠ over Huang’s 10♦ 10♠ pairing the jack on the turn Q♠ 6♣ J♥ 8♦ 5♥.
