Day 1 of the PS Superstar Challenge comes to a close with Kim Wooseok finishing on top of the counts, bagging an impressive 937,000 chips. A total of 27 players secure seats for Day 2, with the field still expected to grow as registration remains open until the start of Level 13 tomorrow.

So far, 48 entries have been recorded, and with late registration still available, more high-stakes contenders are poised to enter, adding further intensity to an already elite lineup.

Kim’s climb to the summit is driven by calculated aggression and sharp timing, particularly during the latter stages of the session. As average stacks begin to compress, he capitalizes on key moments, applying pressure against both short stacks and fresh entries. A pivotal hand unfolds when he snap-calls an all-in from Li Wei Te immediately after Te re-enters, holding a dominating hand and securing a critical boost that propels him into the lead.

Just behind him sits Ho Jun Yi with 927,000 chips. Ho controls much of the early momentum before settling into second place by day’s end, blending disciplined patience with well-timed aggression to stay firmly in contention.

Also advancing to Day 2 are notable contenders including Dinesh Alt, Martin Sedlak, Jason Lau, Lai Hsuan Yu, Oh Jun Seok, Konstantin Held, and Girard Hugues, setting the stage for a stacked and high-pressure continuation when play resumes.
