Short Deck – Hyper Turbo

Gameplay Overview

• Short Deck is played just like NLH except a 36-card deck is used (2’s to 5’s removed) instead of a full deck.
• In Short Deck, a Flush beats a Full House, and the lowest possible Straight is A-6-7-8-9.
• Single Antes will be posted by all players (there are no blinds).
• The Button player will post double the ante amount.

Bullets

• Players have the option of starting with 1, 2, or all 3 bullets at once.
• Bullets can only be redeemed before the start of a hand (20,000 chips per bullet).
• All bullets must be in play before the close of registration.

Levels

• Levels will be 10 minutes for the duration of the tournament until a winner is declared.

Re-entry

• Unlimited re-entry is allowed before the close of registration.

Payouts

• Approximately one in seven entries (15%) will be in the money.

Shot Clocks & Time Banks

• Shot Clocks will be implemented throughout the tournament.
• Each player has 15 seconds to act on all decisions.
• Players receive 2 time bank cards worth 15 seconds each, then one additional time bank card at the end of every break.

Seating & Re-draws

• Play will be 7-handed for the duration of the tournament with a Final Table of 8 players.
• Seating re-draws will be conducted prior to the start of the Final Table.

Transition To Hands-per-level At Final Table

• Upon reaching the final table, the tournament will transition from a timed level structure to a hands-per-level structure. This means each level will consist of a predetermined number of hands rather than a fixed time duration.
• After completing the set number of hands for each level, the blinds will increase according to the published blind structure.

Rules

• Tournament Directors Association (TDA) rules will be used.
