PS Championship Main Event

Ho Yi-Chang opened at hijack and next door Ho Yin Joycelyn Lam called, joined by the big blind Ma Kuo-Kai. 

Action folded around to the small blind Po Yu Chen, he raised. Big blind Seungyong Baek three-bet to 100,000. Chen fired a four-bet shove with a covering stack and Baek tanked. After a minute or so, Baek reluctantly folded.

Ho Yi-Chang opened on the button and Hengzhe Hu called out of the big blind. Action erupted at the flop 7♣Q♥5♥ with a c-bet of 25,000 from Chang check-raised by Hu all in for a total of 110,000. 

The turn J♦ and river J♠ brought no change whatsoever for Chang's ten to play and eliminate Hu.

Heated moment between  Ku Doyun  and  Felix Klaus Kohl with both players staring down a flop K♦K♥2♣ with 44,000 in the pot.

Hyun Jin Lee opened then called Sung Sik Eum three-bet for the pot to swell to 78,000. The heavy betting continued at the flop 8♣3♣5♠ Sung sliding out 30,000 which was answered with a push from Lee with a bet of 165,000. Sung had less behind and tanked until he burned through three time extensions before letting go of his hand in frustration. 

Joseph Keating opened for 17,000 at cutoff, Yuan Ming Cao three-bet to 50,000 on the button, then Keating fired back a four-bet jam. This sent Yuan tanking then folded after spending to time cards. 

After Gyeongbeom Kim got chunked down on a cooler, he was on the big blind when he went all in on a flop of 3♣6♥10♦. Chi Ho King Lai called the light  15,000 bet. 

Standing up, the turn 2♠ paired up Kim who took pause until the river Q♠ which burned him straight to the rail.

After one level of play, Ho Yi-Chang continues to hold the top spot while there have been several changes down the rung.

Lin Chung-Tang was all in on the turn 9♣4♣A♠2♥ with around 150,000 already in the pot.  Shiao Long-Hin called and saw the bad news.

Maggie Chien fired 100,000 onto a pot of 119,000 and a board 9♣A♥5♣2♥J♠. The day's entering chip leader Ho Yi-Chang went deep in the tank before giving up his stake in the pot. 

Kristof Segers kicked off the hand with a min-raise and found one caller in Rio Kitaoji. Two spots over, Injae Jeong squeezed all in for 57,000 and was able push out Segers while Kitaoji called. 

Kitaoji instantly overtook at the flop, and Jeong stood up to watch the board run out 8♠K♦A♥A♣K♣ before leaving the scene. 

Win Kit Damien Woo had just lost a pot against  Kung Li when he made up for it by knocking out Sing Wen Chen. It was a brutal fall for Chen who three-bet jammed with K♣K♠ only to be called and cracked by A♣J♠ on a board of A♠Q♠2♥6♦3♥. 

Yeon Kyeong Yu and Leslie Tsui built a pot of 57,000 by the turn 4♦J♠5♥9♠. Yu checked to Tsui who slid out 20,000 only to be stunned by Yu's shoved of 57,000.

Yu was ahead at showdown with top pair and shipped a double up after the 10♠ river. 

The starting flights are over and the race for the PS Championship Main Event crown is about to get serious. The NT$ 33,000 buy in headliner drew 574 entries, generating a NT$ 16,365,888 prize pool. Now just 88 players remain, each one guaranteed a piece, and returning today for Day 2 and the push toward the final table.

At the very top is Ho Yi-Chang , who stormed through Flight C to bag the overall chip lead with 973,000 (162 BB) that's 54 big blinds more than his closest challenger Ho Yin Joycelyn Lam (108 BB). 

Ku Doyun has also been a regular presence at the business end of tournaments. Already with three final table appearances at the series, including 7th in the Natural8 Open Main Event and a victory in the Deepstack, Ku brings 649,000 (108 BB) into Day 2, good for third overall.

Wedged in the middle of the pack is the defending champion  Kim Kiyoung who enters today's heat wit 126,000 (21 BB). Kim ran incredibly hot at the PSC III, winning two major titles, with the PSC Main Event earning him a career high NT$ 3,010,000.
