Chi Ting-Chieh Leads Final 10 Into PSC Main Event Finale

From 574 entries, with 88 returning at Day 2, the PS Championship Main Event came within one elimination of reaching its final table. After a long day of action, play wrapped with 10 players still seated. Leading them into the final day is Chi Ting-Chieh who bagged a commanding 116 big blinds after leaving a trail of eliminations behind him.

Among his early casualties was defending champion Kim Kiyoung, ensuring a new PSC Main Event champion will be crowned. He later sent Wan Yun Lai out when a straight landed on the board. Chieh shoved the river and Lai called for his tournament life, only to discover Chieh held the higher straight.

Another huge clash saw Chieh wake up with aces against the kings of start-of-day chip leader Ho Yi-Chang , ending Ho's run in 18th place. Chieh continued to railroad his table late in the day, eliminating Hyunsik Jang in 13th place before sending Yuan Ming Cao out in 11th to bring the field to its final ten.

One rung down was Kurt Jung with 97 bb. Jung maintained a big stack throughout the day and added several players to his bust out list, including Tsun Yin Ng and Se Han Park. Jung now finds himself within striking distance of another major title after coming just one spot short in the PS Championship Super High Roller.

Only one woman remained at bagging time, Ho Yin Joycelyn Lam, who took command early in the day. Her biggest takedown was a flip with pocket jacks against the ace-king of Jia Chi Li. She later eliminated Pao Hsuan Hsu in 14th place and remained among the leaders deep into the night.

The closing stretch, however, saw some of Lam's stack slip away. A failed bluff against Jung cost her chips before she lost another pot with top pair against Felix Klaus Kohl's two pair. Despite the late setbacks, Lam survived the day with 17 big blinds.

Betting continued at the flop 5♦8♣3♥ with Chen firing 80,000 and Lu called again to see the K♦ land on the turn.

Chen double barreled 150,000 and still Lu stuck to him like glue to head to the river where the 7♠ joined on the board.

Chen fired once more, betting 325,000. Lu called again then took down the pot with a higher pair.

Chi Ting-Chieh is on 🔥🔥🔥. He picked up another pot to stamp his authority at his table. On his latest win, he opened from hijack and two players called.

Everyone passed up the 8♠J♥Q♠ flop then Chieh fired a delayed c-bet on the 4♠ turn. Yuan Ming Cao answered with a raise to 575,000, Manwoo Park folded, then Chieh flatted.

The river 8♣ paired the board. Both players returned to checking. Chieh showed A♠A♦ and it was good to claim the pot. Yuan said he had QxJx, if so, it was countered on the river.

7-Bet Jam, Chang Can't Get Away

Felix Klaus Kohl kicked off what would be a big hand with a 50,000 raise from under the gun. Everyone folded around to the small blind Chi Ting-Chieh who raised to 150,000, then big blind Ho Yi-Chang four-bet to 250,000.

Kohl got out of the way to send the action back to Chieh who five-bet 480,000. Chang went into the tank, laying out all of his time cards (7 total) in hopes of a player busting for the next payjump.

With no action at the other tables, Chang six-bet 650,000 after using up four time cards. Chieh quickly shoved his big stack and Chang went into the tank again.

To buy time, he asked for a count of Chieh's massive stack, and after it was confirmed, two more time banks were spent then he finally called for his tournament life.
